Had to get towed from the side of the freeway just the other day from exactly this.

Just replaced the motor and installed the new one but the car won’t crack all the way . We first checked the spark plugs and they were worn out so we changed it. We checked the gas and it was bad colorization dark color . Changed the gas. It still does the same thing does not crack all the way

If your power window motor or regulator failed would it stop illuminating the windiw switch? Ive tried 3 different switches from the auto wreckers so it cant be the switch. The switch has separate wiring to the power mirror so the switch illuminates for the power mirror. I checked all the fuses and they are all fine. My mechanc thinks there may be a break in the wires but as far as i can see i dont see any visible breaks. Another guy said its the motor because the fact that the window switch does not illuminate does not necessarily mean its not getting power to the switch. So does anyone agree with that statement? I believe he may be right and should test a new window motor. Any thoughts?

Ive had my 2015 since 2018 and its been the most reliable car ive owned, got it with 17k and now it has 101k. Always changed the oil at just before 5k

Can you just let out a quart of transmission fluid and add the Lucas to the existing fluid? I've heard mechanics for years say sometimes new fluid will sometimes cause transmission failure on a transmission with high miles. They say there is something about the old fluid that holds it together. One last question have you ever tried just adding Shudder Fix that comes in the little red tube?

I’m dealing with the same issue in my 2020 Ford F350 with the 7.3 Godzilla motor. I already replaced the fuse box once last year and it seems to be doing the same thing again. Being a Sunday probably can’t get pod so I’m going to go over to AutoZone and pick up a Gator lead. And hopefully that works so I can get it to a shop. Thank you for your video, much appreciated.

When I am in pin # 14 I have continuity on both the yellow and purple wire from that same pin. Is that normal?

I took my car to get looked at the check engine light on and my brake light the mechanic did an oil change something else to the engine changed the ignition switch engine no good now. I can’t afford a new engine now I have no car.

have the same sh!t, parked the damn truck two years ago because of the noise... put a battery in, boosted it and it started on second turn of the starter - noise is still there but now i have hope of getting some money for it not as scrap

I just followed similar advice on stopping the chime in my 1997 Cougar. The chassis manual instructions do not match the actual steering wheel cover designs but once I found the "anti-theft warning switch" (the actual name) I just wrapped electrical tape around the contact end and gently placed it back in the lock area where it will not contact any metal. The alarm system was also triggering thirty seconds after either the lock switch or remote arming, so I accessed the left rear trunk module package and simply disconnected the factory alarm.

Two Things That I Learned About The 1.8 Cruze is DO NOT OVER FILL THE OIL! 4 qts is the MAX and the other is it’s good to have a coil pack in the trunk with a t-40 and a small screwdriver so it can be changed on the road in a couple minutes. They’re like the old modules that Ford had in the 80’s that had to be replaced all the time.

With that misfire you have, do think that your intake manifold gasket has failed for a second time?

On our 1998 K1500 with the 5.7L the ABS light is on and the speedometer is fluttering all over and causing the transmission to shift up and down randomly and kick off the cruise control. Have you had this problem before? We replaced the VSS and the ignition wiring harness, but that did not fix it.

I did a ohms check on the yellow and in my situation it is a blue with red stripped wire. They both ran with like 2 ohms of resistance. Does that sound right. My buddy said it is a straight wire and the ohms should read zero. I was getting the battle voltage at the red wire so I figure it was good. I am gonna change the two wires to the alternator to what 14 and 51. I was not going to cut the wires but set the new wired in parallel, or do you think that is a bad idea if the factory wire is shorting out.

Sounds like an alternator, my 200 2.4 alt went out a few weeks ago. We just had a dodge avenger with a 2.4 that had an alt problem. Same sound as the one in the video as is the same as mine.

What website did you use to find the wiring for the pcm.

My 2013 Ford Explorer 3.5L V6 started to have problems around 155,000 miles. Then a few months later the shudder was getting scary! It would happen around 3rd and 5th gear. Anyway, after reading every forum about this problem, someone said, add a 2 ounce bottle of Lubegard Instant Shudder Fixx. I was skeptical because after all it feels like a mechanical problem. I'm sure it is a mechanical problem. But, trying to save money and to delay the inevitable TC replacement, I added the 2 ounces of the fixx potion. I drove around a few miles and most of the shudder was gone and then saw much smoother/better shifting. In the end I believe that NOT changing out the transmission fluid every 30K will lead to these problems. The auto mfrs need to stop with the BS about "lifetime fluids". Lubricants breakdown and need periodic replacement to extend the life of the vehicle! My Explorer at 163, 000 miles now. The shudder is mostly non-existent at this time. Let's see how it is in the next few months!

Excellent Job - great diagnosis. I wish I could have met you some years ago. You would have probably saved my 2001 Pathfinder with a similar Vibration, but it was coming from the front Transfer case on the 4WD Pathy.

I did this procedure on my 2006 Corolla. The old gasket which was probably original was so bad that it was below the mating surface of the manifold mating surface. This means there was in effect, no gasket. It was plastic against aluminum. No wonder it leaked when very cold. The new orange gasket was protruding above the manifold mating surface so I knew it was going to seal properly. After startup it ran great --- until it warmed up. Then it started to idle rough and low idle. Eventually, after driving the car for a while, it ran smoothly. I suspect that because of the vacuum leak on the old gasket, the long term fuel trim was setting the fuel injectors to compensate by adding more fuel. With a new gasket, the leak was gone and it didn't need extra fuel. It took a while for the long term fuel trim to no longer compensate for a vacuum leak. The short term fuel trim gave feedback to the long term fuel trim and it settled back to a good air fuel ratio. The point of this comment is run your car for a while after replacing the intake manifold gasket to give the computer system time to adjust to the new condition.

Why did trans fluid not leak out when the drive shaft was removed from the transmission? I've never removed one without the fluid leaking out.
